- Krystal Flowers
Krystal was a very active youth growing up. She played five musical instruments, was on the drill team her entire childhood, played volleyball and basketball, attended summer camps, was a Girl Scout, and was an active member of Girls Incorporated of Omaha. Learning, growing, and being an active part of the community, are values she learned as a youth and they are imparted in her as an adult.
Krystal loves working with the youth and giving back to the community. She served as Vice President and Secretary of Creighton University’s NAACP Chapter where she mentored high school students on college preparation. During her office in NAACP, she also tutored elementary students. While a student at Creighton University, she helped out with many events for the youth such as the African American Leadership Conference that was held on campus. Krystal is the owner and founder of K.L.F. Consulting LLC and is an executive board member of OIC of Omaha Interest Group. She is also a new author with two publications.
Krystal received her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree from Creighton University in 2010 and received her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Bellevue University in 2013. She has taken many entrepreneur classes throughout college and recently completed a 40 hour Microbusiness Course. She has taken and passed nine credit hours in Early Childhood Education at Metro Community College. The courses she completed were Intro to Early Childhood Education and Infant and Toddler Development. In addition, she has taken Accounting, Finance, Strategic Management and many other courses while receiving her education. She has worked in the Health Care industry, sales, food services, and property management and has over 7 years of management experience.

As a child, Akeydra was a dancer, athlete, and academic scholar. Her passion for children and her community was developed from her experience at the LaFern Williams Center. There, she was mentored, tutored, participated in cheerleading, track and field, softball, and after school programs. The Lafern Center gave her an avenue for self-exploration and creativity. She wants to be able to provide that type of life-changing experience to others. The Lafern Center was bought by the YMCA where Akeydra went back as a teen to volunteer as a Y-Leader. Her volunteer work included mentoring, tutoring, and activity planning.
In the last 5 years, Akeydra has directed an all-girls dance group for ages 10-16, helped form and manage the first community-owned flag football league for boys ages 5-8, and created a curriculum for a boy scout program that will debut this spring.
